AshePay is installed like any other WordPress plugin. This guide covers both the manual upload method and setup from the WordPress.org plugin directory.

Before you install

  • Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active
  • Confirm your site is running PHP 7.4 or higher (PHP 8.x recommended)
  • Your site must have HTTPS - browser wallet extensions will not connect over plain HTTP
  • If you plan to accept Tron, the PHP bcmath extension must be enabled (most hosts have this by default)

Option A - Install from WordPress.org (Free version)

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New
  2. Search for AshePay
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate

Option B - Manual upload (Free or Pro)

  1. Download the plugin zip file from WordPress.org (free) or your Ashe Labs dashboard (Pro)
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  3. Choose the zip file and click Install Now
  4. Click Activate Plugin

After activation

Once activated, AshePay creates its database tables automatically. You will see a notice at the top of the admin screen confirming setup was successful.

If you see a warning that database tables are missing instead, click the Re-run Setup link in the notice. This runs the setup process again and is safe to click multiple times.

Next step

Head to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → AshePay to configure your wallet addresses and enable the gateway. The Wallet Addresses guide walks you through it.

AshePay Pro users: Install the Pro plugin in addition to (not instead of) the free plugin. The Pro plugin extends the free version - both must be active at the same time.
